The Burbacher Hof used to be part of a “castle”, a stone house from times when clay buildings were more the rule. This castle was demolished before 1900, so that the farmhouse ‘Burbacher Hof’ is its only architectural remnant. The farm used to belong to large estates, which today have become residential areas in the district of Kessenich.
Our 18th century farmhouse is a listed monument and was completely renovated in 2016/17. The ambience has been preserved with great attention to detail; at the same time modern technology has been installed. Today the farmhouse serves as a guesthouse, in which currently guest rooms can be booked as longer-term accommodation.
In and around the farmhouse you will find rural idyll in the middle of the city in a very quiet street. – The courtyard itself is private. – The guesthouse has a separate guest entrance, a separate guest kitchen and also the bathrooms are separate from the house in the back, where the host lives. The private guestrooms share the kitchen and a bathroom on each floor with one or maximum two other long-term guests. The rooms are comfortably furnished; the furniture is a good mixture of antique and modern. Everything lovingly prepared. With the AtticoSuite there additionally is a complete apartment with it’s own kitchen and bathroom.
Bookings are possible from a minimum stay of almost 2 weeks to half a year! With a special agreement even longer. So there is no heavy “in and out” traffic.
